Early copies
For now Book 1 lives on my laptop, propped on the bow most mornings while the boat rolls in the swell and I fix one more comma. When the sun climbs over the hill the screen goes pale, so I tilt it into the shade of the sail and keep going. Before the book goes out into the world in May 2027, I would love a few readers to meet Sapphire first and tell me honestly what they found.
My working life is full of writing, from speeches to papers for people making big decisions, and I carry responsibility for serious work at several large organisations, so a promise with a date on it is one I keep. Telling stories is new to me, and Book 1 is my first novel. My dreams have waited in a drawer long enough, so I am finishing all 4 books and sending them out, and every honest review will teach me how to build characters and plots that keep a reader up all night.

Nearly aboard. Check your inbox for an email from Romy Mercer and tap the button inside, and your name is on the early copies list. If nothing has arrived, look in Promotions or spam.
It costs nothing, and an honest review is all I ask in return.
An ebook through BookFunnel, which sends it to your Kindle, gives you a file for Kobo, Apple Books or any other e-reader, or opens it straight on your phone.
Send me a quick note and that is the end of it, with no hard feelings on board.
Please keep it to yourself until Book 1 is out, and then tell anyone you like.
There is no minimum, and a loyal following of any size means a great deal to a new writer.
I choose readers from the list in January, and I will tell you either way.
Warm, with the door open, which is why early copies go to adults only.
