A Letter in a Bottle
4 books of action romance follow Sapphire Pascoe, a skipper with a new boat and a new job in every book, through a Mediterranean summer, a book a month from May to August 2027. A series is a promise with dates on it, and this page is where you hold me to it.
I am always writing, and every month, through the letter, I invite you into my evening writing session, with a glass of wine poured, to help shape whichever book is on my desk. My working life has been non-fiction, where every page names the co-authors and researchers who built it with me. Fiction and storytelling are new to me, and the eye of an avid reader, perhaps a reviewer too, is worth a great deal at this stage. Every letter carries a short vote on the book on my desk, and the next letter tells you which votes moved it.
One letter a month from now, the story in January, the cover at the end of January, and from May 2027 a book a month until the summer is done.
The letter comes once a month, starting now, with what I am writing and where the season has taken us.
From January 2027 there is a story for readers of the letter, Sapphire’s last 3 days at sea before the first book opens.
The cover comes to you before anyone else sees it, at the end of January, and the first book lands in May 2027 with the other three a month apart behind it, so you can book the week before anyone else has heard of her.
I write in English. If you would like to read these books in German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish or Swedish, tell me after you join. I am preparing now for the translations readers will want, and every answer tells me where to begin.
My husband and I live aboard our sailing boat in the Mediterranean, afloat for the sailing season and ashore in the south of France for the winter, and I write the heroine I wanted to be.

I update this in every letter, so you always know how far each book has come.
I write in the evenings with a glass of wine, and every month I share where the books stand and ask for your votes.
Join the letter below, and your first email carries the Book 3 vote, 7 quick taps that land on my writing desk.
If you review books, you get early copies of Book 1 before it goes on sale.
